FAQs
Individual Taxes
1How do I obtain a copy of my tax return?
Starting in 2019, Butrica Ployd transitioned to our Onvio platform to achieve the capabilities of serving our clients 100% virtually. For 2019 and following, you can obtain your "Client Copy" tax return by visiting https://onvio.us/ - which is the same login to upload your documents at tax time!
2When is the tax filing deadline?
Tax deadlines vary depending on the type of tax and have been changed in recent years. To view the most up to date deadlines, visit Tax Due Dates.
3What do I do once my return is filed?
Once our team has finalized your tax return, please complete the following:
1) Complete your e-signature documents. This will be an email sent securely from our office.
2) Pay your invoice. This will also be sent via email and must be paid before the tax return is filed.
3) Make any applicable Federal and State tax payments. Instructions for these are included in your "Signature
Forms & Instructions" at https://onvio.us/.
4) If you live in Pennsylvania, make sure to mail in your local tax return by the filing deadline. Once our firm prepares these, we provide instructions for you to mail in your return yourself. We do not file local returns electronically.
4How do I pay my tax bill?
Your "Signature Forms & Instructions" in Onvio provide clear directions on mailing in payments to your tax authorities. To make a federal payment online, you can visit https://www.irs.gov/payments/. For all other tax payments, please review your instructions.
5How do I pick up my tax return?
At Butrica Ployd, we share your tax returns virtually at https://onvio.us/. If you need your tax documents at any time in the future, you can simply login and download pdf copies. If you would like to pick up your physical tax returns in person, simply contact us or call our office at (267) 263-2901 to schedule a time to pick up. We will need to prepare your documents ahead of your visit, so please contact our office before stopping in.
6Where is my refund?
Once we receive confirmation that your tax return was accepted, our team no longer has access to the status of your tax return. However, you can check the status of your return at
https://www.irs.gov/refunds/. If your return is still processing, you should allow 3-4 weeks before calling the IRS at 1-800-829-1040.
7When is the last day I can get my tax return done?
April 1. After that date, if you drop off documents, we will file an extension for your tax filing. The extension is an extension to file and not to pay your taxes owed. Therefore, filing beyond the April 15th deadline may still incur interest and penalties for late payment, though you will not incur penalties for late filing if the extension is filed and your taxes are filed by October 15th. For those that uploaded after April 1, we will be shifting back to tax returns after 8/16 and will be in touch between that date and the extension deadline of 10/15 for personal tax returns and 9/15 for businesses.
8Did Butrica Ployd file an extension for me?
Our firm uses premium software that allows us to automate the extension filing for all clients who completed a tax return with us last year. However, you are responsible for your extension filing and if you know that you will need to extend, you should
contact us to confirm your extension has been filed.
9How much does a tax return cost?
At Butrica Ployd, our focus is building relationships that allow us to identify overlooked tax opportunities. As part of your tax return, we will review your historical tax returns to ensure we
understand your situation, complete a peer review to ensure no tax savings are missed, and engage a conversation to ensure that we know your needs. As an effort to ensure we can build relationships that are valuable for both our firm and meeting your tax needs, we have established a minimum fee of $750
for tax preparation. Depending on the complexity of your tax return, that fee may differ and you should contact us if you want to learn more about working with Butrica Ployd.

1Where's my stimulus?
The stimulus (officially called "economic impact payments") are reconciled when filing your tax return. return.
General Questions
1I have a tax notice. What do I do?
The first step is to review the notice and identify a phone number that you can call. By calling this number, they will be able to help you understand the issue and what you can do to resolve it. On
matters involving the IRS, you may also be eligible for free assistance by visiting https://taxpayeradvocate.irs.gov/get-help/. If you would like Butrica Ployd's help in resolving this matter, please
contact us. One of our staff will review it over 5-10 business days and contact you via email or phone call. If we believe that you should dispute the tax notice, we will help you diagnose the issue and send you an engagement if you would like our representation. Once we have the engagement, expect another 10-15 days for our team to prepare a resolution and delivery to the IRS.
2How do I disable the verification code sent to me when logging into Onvio?
You can follow these steps to disable it for your login:
1. Click your profile icon in the upper-right corner of the screen, then click the View Profile link.
2. Click the Authenticator tab.
3. Click the Remove icon.
4. Enter your password and click Confirm Password.
Disconnecting your paired device does not immediately disable multi-factor authentication if you have
recently requested a temporary, 24-hour code. You must continue to enter that code to log in to Onvio until it expires.
With multi-factor authentication disabled, you will no longer need to verify your login.
